Swangz Avenue singer Elijah Kitaka on Thursday (07. Sept. 2023) held a successful Bedroom Essentials EP listeners party.
In June this year, Elijah Kitaka released his nine-track Extended Play (EP) dubbed Bedroom Essentials. The EP holds songs like Kontrol, Tippy Toe, Play Time, Tutu Mama, Nothing, Seduction, Weather for 2, Ndi Wuwo and Nothing.
On the 9-track EP, two songs Tutu Mama and Nothing he features labelmate Vinka and The Mith, Kohen Jaycee, 1der JR, Timothy CODE, and Vyper Ranking respectively.
The EP listener’s party that was held at The Hub Hotel in Bugolobi, registered a good turnout from several music industry players including A Pass, Joshua Baraka, The Myth, Selector Jay, labelmates Vinka and Azawi, members of the media, and his fans.
The highlight of the night was Elijah Kitaka’s performance, and he delivered beyond the expectations of the attendees leaving everyone asking for more.
He took the crowd through his EP clad in his shorts, alongside Double Black rendering revellers into a captivating ambience.
During Kitaka’s performance, attendees asked for a repetition of his song Tutu Mama where he features Vinka, and couldn’t get enough of it, demonstrating how well-liked it is among music aficionados.
The two Swangz Avenue signees performed Tutu Mama and abide by the revellers’ demand to repeat it twice.
Tippy Toe which is the second track on the EP, saw Azawi and Vinka take on the dancefloor to show off their dance prowess as the crowd erupted in cheers.
Based on the attendees’ reviews, all the tracks on Elijah Kitaka’s EP are good filled with lyrical maturity and instrument-rich.
As he called it a night, Elijah Kitaka implored Ugandans to embrace our local music. To the attendees’ surprise, the singer went emotional and dropped a tear as he envisioned holding his maiden concert.
