The party intended to celebrate Laika Music’s release of her much-anticipated EP dubbed ‘It Was All A Dream’ turned into a battleground after the celebrant clashed with deejay and radio personality, Etania who is also a fellow cast member on the famous reality TV show, Kampala Crème.
Fuming and bitter, Laika Music addressed the press and called the self-proclaimed Life Of The Party jealous and acting under the influence of cheap alcohol. She also threw a jibe at Etania’s recently concluded birthday pool party which was organized by her musician boyfriend, Joshua Baraka, referring to it as ‘fake’.
“If my friend had a bigger launch than my birthday party, I would also be angry. I think her boyfriend organized for her a fake party and when she came to my event and saw the red carpet, she got angry. Or maybe she has drunk too much cheap alcohol which makes you drunk so fast. Why would you fight on someone’s big day? What is making you so mad?” Laika said, also bragging about her travel plans next week to celebrate her birthday in Zanzibar.
Laika threw shots at Joshua Baraka, calling him broke and wondering why Etania would go for a man who could not get her anything.
“There is nothing wrong with that (her boyfriend being broke) but that is not my preference, I love money. I can’t be with someone who is still trying to make it. He is famous but I can’t say he is rich. What is she getting from Joshua Baraka? She is still driving an IST. I do not know what she is getting. I drive a GLE Mercedes Benz 2017,” Laika Music said.
The two were never friends throughout the last season of the show and during the last episode that aired on Sunday, Etania made some sarcastic and mocking comments about Laika, propelling the fight which left Laika’s dress damaged. Laika maintains that they will never be friends
“There is none (relationship). It is non-existence. I just see her, I just look at her, I know her. I watched today’s episode and she was talking a lot of nonsense but why would you pretend to be a gangster and when they come for you, you can’t receive it? That is her problem, when someone acts like you, you want to be a crazy person,”
“I want my fans to see how she has spoiled my dress, she spilled cocktails on me. She doesn’t even know how much this costs, she can’t even afford such a dress. I can’t blame her because she doesn’t know how much each stone costs,” Laika Music concluded.
