Media personality and events MC Evelyn Masika, alias Evelyn Mic has opened up on the reason behind her exit from popular radio station, Galaxy FM.
In a one-on-one interview, Evelyn Mic revealed that she received a strange phone call on Saturday from one of the stakeholders at the station. She said she was utterly shocked mainly because she never receives any direct communications from top management since they are always made through the program’s director.
In the brief call, Evelyn’s boss informed her that the board had come up with a decision that she would not be continuing her work at Galaxy FM effective immediately.
He told me I would not be continuing with them effectively immediately because it was a decision they had made. I was not working on Saturday so that meant that I was not supposed to come back on Monday.
Shocked by the news, Evelyn revealed that she did not ask any questions because the communication was clear, and awaiting reasons for her termination, her boss revealed that she had failed to fit in with her fellow presenters.
I just kept quiet because they told me the decision was already made. The reason they gave me was that there was no chemistry in the show, Evelyn Mic said.
Evelyn joined the Kansanga-based station early last year and has been hosting the Evening Rush show alongside her former co-workers, Little Joe and DJ Nimrod.
