Former NTV journalist Faridah Nakazibwe has shared valuable advice for aspiring journalists in Uganda.
She mentioned that aspiring journalists today have the advantage of numerous media outlets where they can demonstrate their skills acquired in school.
Furthermore, she highlighted the positive impact of social media in helping individuals showcase their abilities even before securing employment opportunities they’ve long desired.
Nakazibwe went on to emphasise the importance of authenticity, pursuing personal goals, and embracing uniqueness rather than imitating others, as these qualities can attract opportunities from major media companies.
In addition, she cautioned against engaging in negative practices, reassuring that such actions do not have a lasting impact.
