Media personality and actress Fifi Da Queen real name Phiona Nabitengero has allegedly dragged her former bosses at Vision group to court over defamation.
On 26th September 2022, Bukedde newspaper publication Vol 28, No. 268 issued an article that suggested that Vision group former employee Fifi Da Queen was arrested over being linked to Sipapa’s aggravated robbery scandal.
Fifi Da Queen quickly debunked claims on social media after crossing paths with the reports before suing the industrial area-based media outlet.
”To all my family and friends, I am very ok and not arrested. I don’t know the aim of this Bukedde TV and paper story Abt Fifi Da queen being arrested. Wabula Bukedde mufaaki bakwano?” Fifi Da Queen wrote on her Facebook over the weekend.
On Monday, September 26, 2022, the managing director of New Vision Printing and Publishing Co. Ltd was served with a demand notice and notice of intention to sue for defamation by the actress through her attorneys, Mwesigwa Rukutana and Co. Advocates.
The media outlet’s publications were declared untrue, willfully damaging, and severely defamatory to Fifi da Queen’s reputation, according to the records quoted by this website.

Fifi Da Queen requests an unambiguous apology on the front page, the same size and colour as the statements complained about, and compensation amounting to UGX. 1,000,000,000 for the harm done to her.
In addition, Fifi wants UGX. 50,000,000 as legal fees so far incurred in the legal action.
The documents further indicate that should the managing director of New Vision Printing and Publishing Co. Ltd fail to comply with the demands within 3 days from the date hereof, Fifi’s legal team has instructions to institute civil and criminal proceedings against the media house proprietor.
