Singer Gift Ov Kaddo has expressed his disappointment with the ongoing trend among musicians singing vulgar lyrics.
He noted that given his exceptional music collection featuring hit songs like Traffic Man, it would be quite challenging for him to perform songs like Enkudi and Hoozambe before his fans and children.
Kado cautioned the current generation of musicians with vulgar lyrics that their songs would negatively impact kids’ development, before urging them not to blame it on the government.
He further expressed his frustration with Ugandans who have failed to acknowledge his craftmanship and resorted to branding him as mad, while praising musicians with explicit lyrics, questioning what the current generation of musicians is feeding the young children.
Gift Ov Kaddo attributed his lack of vulgarity in his songs to being nurtured in a different era of musicians.
He went on and vowed to continue listening to music from the likes of Madoxx Sematimba, Kabuye Semboga, Philly Bongole Lutaaya, and Elly Wamala among others who inspire him.
