This morning Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament Hon Francis Zaake was embroiled in a physical altercation with fellow MP Hon. Benard Atiku.
In several videos making rounds on social media, Hon Zaake could be seen trying to remove Hon. Atiku from his seat for reasons yet to be revealed.
Irritated by Hon Francis Zaake’s actions, Hon. Atiku punched the Mityana Member of Parliament severally on the head and other parts.
It called for security and other MPs’ intervention to restore the situation, as Hon. Atiku was forcibly removed while Hon Zaake was protected from further assault.
Hon. Francis Zaake was immediately rushed to the hospital seemingly in excruciating pain resulting from the beatings.

Initially before the fight, Hon. Zaake vowed to go bare knuckles with anyone who opposed him during consideration of the contentious National Coffee Amendment Bill 2024 today.
