The UB40 ft Ali Campbell performance in Kampala, which was scheduled to take place at Kololo Independence grounds on 21 December 2023, had to be postponed at the last minute.
Talent Africa and Next Media, the organizers of the event, had been eagerly anticipating this veteran band’s performance for several months.
Unfortunately, just a few days before the event, the organizers had to release a press statement announcing the cancellation of the concert due to unforeseen circumstances.
It has now been revealed that events promoter Balaam Byarugahara had organized another event dubbed the Ghetto Empowerment Day at the same venue.
This event was set to be attended by the President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who would be meeting with the Ghetto youths in the Kampala Metropolitan Region.
As a result, the UB40 ft Ali Campbell concert organizers had no choice but to reschedule their event, despite having all the preparations in place.

This sudden change of plans was a major setback for both the organizers and the attendees. However, efforts are currently underway to announce a new date for the concert, and those who had already purchased tickets can rest assured that their tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled event.

Nonsense, Ali Campbell never planned to perform there. He has a habit of cancelling gigs. Tomorrow he would have had a gig in Abu Dhabi but that one is also cancelled. The guy is just too lazy to perform.
