Rising musician Jowy Landa real name Joan Namugerwa has opened up on her unfortunate experience with a male producer who violated her during her struggle for a breakthrough.
The ‘Sapata’ hitmaker, while speaking about her worst experiences with male producers, shared her ordeal with Galaxy FM listeners. According to Jowy, the incident happened when she was still a teenager and a cover artist.
The producer whose identity she did not reveal approached her and lied to her that he would produce a song for her at no cost. Out of excitement, the young Jowy Landa accepted his invite to his studio where he started touching her inappropriately.
“I have worked with a lot of producers but the ones I met when I first got into the industry used to harass me but because I was new, I was scared. Way back, some popular producer approached me and promised that he would do a song for me for free. I was so excited and went to his studio. I was just 18 and couldn’t believe I was going to work with someone like him,” she said.

Jowy Landa further narrated that the producer had a gig somewhere else and left her alone in his studio until very late in the night.
She was only saved by the producer’s friend who found her and told her to go back home because he was sure she had been tricked. She later got to know that he did this on purpose to have her spend the night with him.
