Ever since Jose Chameleon was denied an NUP ticket to contend for the Kampala mayoral seat, things have never been the same between him and fellow singer Bobi Wine.
Jose Chameleon crossed to Bobi Wine’s rival political party NRM, and on different occasions revealed to his fans that he had nothing to do with Bobi Wine and his camp, hence widening a schism between the two singers supporters.
On 15th April 2022, Chameleon received an invitation card to be part of the just concluded Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s pre-birthday party celebrations on 23rd April 2022.
However, the invitation came with a lot of criticism from the NUP political camp supporters, who saw it unwise for Chameleon to grace the function.
Upon stepping on the podium at Muhoozi’s birthday celebrations at Lugogo Cricket Oval, the vividly aggrieved singer had a lot to put off his chest.
Jose Chameleon stressed that since he will never again vie for any political position, netizens should stop attacking and dragging him into political disputes.
He maintained that he deserved to be rewarded with a Range Rover by Mr. Toyota because he has contributed greatly to the Uganda music industry.
The singer furthermore made it known that he is an East African asset and unbothered if a few Ugandans snub his music.
