Dancehall singer Kapa Cat born Catherine Tumusiime has once again sparked controversy after celebrating Luga Flow rapper, Gravity Omutujju’s just concluded flopped concert.
Over the weekend, the ‘Okwepicha’ hitmaker had his annual concert only for the event not to yield the expected results.
Upon hearing the news, Kapa Cat hit social media to share her rendition of Gravity’s ‘Winner’ song referring to the rapper as a loser. In a phone call interview, she could not hide her joy over the flopped shows, saying it was the best form of revenge amidst their beef.
I asked for permission to sample his song and turn the song into the right form. He (Gravity) had done everything right, built a house in Munyonyo, bought a range rover and he was left with just one thing; just to please my heart. He thought about me and I no longer have anything on him. Over the weekend, he gave me so much joy. I can’t believe that I’m the happiest person, Kappa Cat revealed as she laughed.
It is no secret that the two musicians are sworn enemies who have constantly been embroiled in public feuds despite collaborating on their hit song ‘Center’ in 2022.
Their beef started in 2023 after Kapa Cat predicted that Martha Mukisa’s concert would flop, something that did not sit well with Gravity. He accused her of seeking relevancy and trying to bring down fellow artists. In her defense, Kappa claimed that Gravity Omutujju was dissing her because he had for so long pressured her for sex after their collaboration, a request she turned down. Additionally, Kapa mentioned that she demanded Gravity money which he failed to fulfil.
When asked why she did not appear to support Gravity since they had a song together, Kapa Cat said she turned down the opportunity because there was no way she would perform at a venue with no crowd; that is why she chose to attend Mikie Wine’s show at Jahazi Pier because it had more of a vibe.
Who would we perform for? That was a sound check not the real concert that is why people did not come. No fans came through for him. It was just him on the stage and we did not even know where he disappeared to. Besides, I do not sing in a place where there is no dancehall. I was at Jahazi Pier enjoying myself. I do not even have a song with Mikie but it was because there was a vibe, kapa Cat noted.
Saturday was a busy day with over five concerts happening at the same time. Besides Gravity Omutujju at Lugogo and Mikie Wine at Jahazi, we had Nigeria’s Chike and Awilo Longomba serenading fans at Sheraton Gardens, Qing Madi at Zoe Grounds, and Tumbeetu at La Bonita. All these were filled to capacity apart from Gravity’s ‘Embaga Ya Isma Ne Amina’ and Kapa Cat believes he deserved it considering the mocking statements he made during his press conference, promising to get a bigger following than his counterparts

I’m so happy about what happened to him. The whole stadium was so empty and I wondered where he was crying from. I know he is still crying and won’t show face for at least two weeks, she said.
