Female dancehall artist Karole Kasita has broken her silence on industry conflicts, encouraging artists to monetize their feuds. Known for her peaceful nature, Karole Kasita avoids drama, prioritizes self-care and mental well-being in the challenging industry.
Over the years, the industry has had a fair share of numerous disputes among musicians, often fueled by differing ideologies, concert clashes, competition, and Karole Kasita argues that these conflicts can be beneficial if managed strategically.
I think I have only seen one battle giving people money; that was Sheebah and Cindy. So if whoever is beefing turns that into monetary terms, that will be helpful but if they want to fight like Mizigo people, they know better, I don’t care about them. They should make it about money, that will be great, she said.
Drawing an example from Cindy and Sheebah Karungi, Karole Kasita maintained their the duo transitioned their feud into a music battle, which propelled their financial statuses.
Additionally, Karole Kasita stressed that despite her calm persona, she harbors human characteristics filled with emotions and anger if rubbed the wrong way but she chooses positively over negativity.
It depends on a person’s nature; hate doesn’t move me and I’m not even bothered. I won’t even know that someone is hating on me and I won’t even know when they attack me. Naturally, I mind my business, my happiness, my comfort, my peace and never care about who said what, when, where and why; I will never even know that they said such rubbish about me.
But I also get angry and it gets worse. Though I rarely get things that piss me off but when it happens, I also get angry, she said.
