The late Muhammad Ssegirinya was earlier today laid to rest at his ancestral burial grounds in Kadugala-Masaka.
Muhammad Ssegirinya was announced lifeless on Thursday 09th January 2025 after grappling with several health challenges for a significant period.
Ssegirinya died at Lubaga Hospital, where he was rushed towards the end of last year. His death was followed by several vigils, before his burial today.
Ssegirinya’s burial attracted a large number of people countrywide, in an effort to give him a respectful and proper send-off.
However, the Ssegirinya’s burial was characterized by chaos, as Bobi Wine and Mathias Mpuuga’s political factions clashed over who to lead the service.

Despite the chaos, Ssegirinya was successfully laid to rest and several attendees expressed their disappointment with the acts of disrespect that were exhibited at the ceremony.
