Singer Juliana Kanyomozi is the topic of discussion in social media circles over snubbing vigils and burial sessions.
Juliana Kanyomozi is one of the most reclusive musicians in Uganda who seldom partakes in most majority of the entertainment industry-related activities.
However, her hesitation has put her in conflict with detractors, who contend that she ought to support her fellow musicians when they most need it.
Following the death of the late singer, actor, and former Lubaga South Member of Parliament Kato Lubwama on 7th June 2023, several of the music industry stakeholders holders extended their sympathies.
They staged vigils in celebration of his seven-day period of grief at his residence in Mutundwe, the National Theatre, and subsequently at his ancestral burial site in Nkozi on Masaka Road, where he was supposed to be sent off on Wednesday 14th June 2023.
However, despite sending a condolence message via her social media accounts, some internet users noticed that Juliana Kanyomozi was absent from the vigils and appeared not to have any intentions to attend Kato Lubwama’s funeral, which prompted questions.

Since then, several internet users have turned to social media to criticise the singer for failing to show sympathy for her fellow musicians when they most needed it.
