Singer and city Pastor Bugembe has opened up on how a group of fellow pastors ganged up against him because of inviting celebrities to his Nansana-based church.
The Worship House lead pastor is one of the few pastors who have made it a norm to organize church services and have different musicians and entertainers invited to not only fellowship but also speak to the congregation on the pulpit.
Being a youthful and celebrity pastor, the celebrities turn up in large numbers, something that has sparked controversies and got him criticized for allegedly opening his church doors to the ‘worldly people’.
While he feels like this act brings celebrities closer to God, pastor Bugembe has revealed that he had a group of pastors badmouth him and also go behind his back to influence people to quit his church because they were mixing with celebrities like Jose Chameleone and Maama Fiina who they consider ungodly.
At first I ignored it until some pastors made it a very big job to the point that they asked people to leave our church, Pastor Bugembe noted.
This, however, has not stopped him from inviting these same people to church because he believes he is doing what God sent him on earth to do; that is to draw more souls to his kingdom.

I think I am a fisherman just like the Bible orders me to. I love people and I think there is no pastor who is perfect but we are all here because God loves us. I like it when superstars tell their followers that God is their star. I’m a fisherman who will keep telling people to come to Jesus. It is God who makes them grow.
I love Mama Fiina because she has a good heart and I believe one day she will accept Jesus Christ,” Pastor Bugembe said.
