The Uganda Police have confirmed arresting singer Vyroota real name Musigazi Abdulaziz on cases of procuring an abortion.
According to Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango, Vyroota impregnated a yet-to-identified girl, who notified him about the development.
The news however wasn’t exciting to the “Ndibulngi” hitmaker, who suggested an abortion claiming he wasn’t ready to be a father.
The girl disagreed with the decision before addressing the matter with the singer’s manager Walugembe, who also sided with the singer’s decision.
The 21-year-old singer and his manager convinced the girl to abort, and their mission was achieved successfully.
However, the act left the girl’s parents disappointed, dragged the singer to the Police, and filed a procuring an abortion case against him.
Procuring an abortion is the act of intentionally ending a pregnancy by artificial means, such as medication.

The singer and his manager Walugembe were yesterday arrested and detained at Kira Division Police Headquarters as authorities initiated investigations into the allegations.
