Sheebah Karungi has expressed her heartwarming admiration for Swangz Avenue’s Winnie Nwagi, ranking her highly among her best Ugandan musicians with a strong energetic presence and captivating performances.
The former Team No Sleep star confessed that she has grown a soft spot and drawn inspiration from performers who can energize crowds with their infectious energy. For Sheebah, Winnie Nwagi happens to be the perfect artist who possesses these qualities.
“I have many people that inspire me. I love performers, people who know how to entertain the crowd. I love people who keep me on my toes,” Sheebah said, giving an example of Beyonce, Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade.
“In Uganda, I go for Winnie Nwai. I love so many artists and I can go on and on. Each and every artist has a little bit of something that I love about them but it is the performing aspect of it. Because I can listen to your song at home but what can I do when I find you in the stadium, can you entertain me, can I feel good, are you looking good?” Sheebah Karungi revealed.
Winnie Nwagi has not only shown dedication to her craft but also has the ability to connect to her audience.
Her exceptional ability to command a crowd was witnessed in 2022 when she filled up Lugogo Cricket Oval to the maximum on her debut solo concert.
