SK Mbuga leads the way in a fundraising campaign to support Ainembabazi Linda in her battle against stage three Fibrosarcoma cancer.
A few months ago, Linda bravely shared her illness with the public and appealed for financial assistance to undergo treatment in India.
Responding promptly to her plea, socialite and businessman SK Mbuga took charge of the fundraising efforts. Through his leadership, a remarkable sum of Ugx 53.2M was raised to facilitate Linda’s medical journey.
Upon her arrival in India, doctors discovered that Linda, a 15-year-old aspiring news anchor, was fighting Fibrosarcoma stage three cancer, not leukaemia as initially believed.
Despite this challenging diagnosis, the medical team expressed optimism about Linda’s chances of overcoming this silent killer and pursuing her dream of working with prestigious platforms like BBC.
After receiving some treatment abroad, Linda returned to Uganda. However, the fundraising campaign is still ongoing, with a car wash event scheduled for December 17th at Mulago Guest House. The aim is to raise Ugx 150M for further medical evaluations and treatments.
