Source Management singer Spice Diana has expressed her disappointment and surprise after fellow artist Catherine Kusasira scheduled her concert on the same day as her 10th-anniversary concert, causing tension in their friendship.
Spice Diana will be celebrating a decade in the music industry, a milestone she is eager to celebrate with her fans, and on the same date, Catherine Kusasira announced her ‘The Roots Of Catherine Kusasira: Old Is Gold’ concert where she will be taking revelers on a nostalgic voyage through her musical journey.
After discovering Kusasira’s concert was on the same day, Spice Diana allegedly reached out to her urging her to reschedule since she had invested a huge sum of money and could not withdraw.
Kusasira promised to review her arrangements, leading Spice Diana to believe a resolution was possible but to her surprise, she ultimately stuck on the same date.
I do not know why people think it is okay. The problem is the person who fixed a show on my date is like a mother to me. I love her to the point that I would want to attend her show and also invite her to mine but it is sad that she is creating a friction. And I know she did it intentionally or the people around her are driving her to that.
As a person I respect, I called her and told her that I had already scheduled my concert two months ago and had paid everything, I told her I had invested a lot of money, the posters and was seeking a way forward. She told me she doesn’t know about my event and I politely asked her to draw since she hadn’t yet gone so far with the arrangements., Spice Diana revealed.
Spice Diana further revealed that she chose this particular date to rhyme with her industry milestone, marking a decade in the business, and was utterly disappointed after she realized they would be clashing with Catherine Kusasira whom she has shared a cordial relationship.
I specifically set 10th because it was rhyming with the ten years I will be celebrating in the industry. I explained all this and she promised to go back to her venue and have it sorted out. Catherine’s young daughter is my big fan because sometimes she used to call me to talk to her and also sing for her on her birthday. It hurts me so much that it had to be someone like her against me, she said.
Amidst all this, Spice Diana emphasized her desire to avoid conflict, valuing their friendship and she remains committed to her original date.

But she didn’t. Like you know me, I’m not in for any fights. I’m just looking on. I know my fans will still come through but this is not okay. If you keep doing this kind of thing more so to the people who are in the same industry. We will meet in some other circumstances.
I will still go on with my date because it doesn’t affect me in any way; I know my fans will still come. My ten-year milestone is very special and I do not want any controversy surrounding it to bring distractions on my day, she said
