TikToker user Edward Awebwa has been sentenced to six years in prison over attacking the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the first lady Janet Kataha Museveni.
A few months back, Edward Awebwa through his TikTok account expressed his disappointment with President Museveni and his wife, blaming them for imposing excessive taxes on Ugandans.
Edward Awebwa claimed that the president’s aim of implementing the burdensome taxes was aimed at depriving citizens, before branding him a Rwnadese and others scathing insults.
The TikToker was hence traced, and arrested, before being arraigned before the Entebbe Magistrates Court today.

Subsequently, as a result of Edward’s actions, he was earlier today sent to prison, where he will sleep for six years.
