90.4 Dembe FM Presenters Face Potential Loss of Their Jobs As the Station Takes a Hiatus

Dembe FM, a lively and enthusiastic Luganda-speaking FM radio station, has released a press statement announcing that they will temporarily suspend their regular programs.

Catered to the central Buganda region, including Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono, Mpigi, Mityana, and Masaka, the station specifically targeted female listeners and aimed to inspire women who strive for success in a challenging world.

However, for the time being, there will be no fixed programming as the Board and Management evaluate its ongoing viability as a business.

Nevertheless, reports regarding Nation Media’s decision indicate that the station will resume its normal operations next year, albeit with the possibility of some presenters losing their jobs.

We regret to inform our esteemed listeners, clients and other stakeholders of 90.4 Dembe FM that the station will, for the foreseeable future, have no scheduled programming as the Board and Management reassess its continued viability as a business concern. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause Management.
