Award-winning singer Eddy Kenzo has been nominated for the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).
A month after being nominated for the Grammys awards where he lost to South Africa’s Zakes Bantwini, Eddy Kenzo is yet again nominated for IRAWMA awards based in Jamaica.
In the best Afrobea Entertainer category, Eddy Kenzo will be locking horns with Burna Boy from Nigeria, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania, Tems from Nigeria, and Willy from Kenya.
With the theme “Reggae Rise”, the 40th edition of the IRAWMA awards will be held from Kingstone Jamaica on Sunday, May 7, 2023.
According to the organizers of the awards, voter’s decisions should be based on materials released between January 2021 and December 2022.
Additionally, voters are advised to consider the social relevance of materials; originality and sales; the scope of local and national performances; quality of performances, and stage appearances.

Also, voters are only allowed to vote once, as casting multiple votes will cause one’s votes to be voided. Duplicate or non-working emails and phone numbers will as well not be counted, hence be cautious before voting.
