Based on the most recent developments surrounding the Abryanz Style And Fashion Awards (ASFA), fashion lovers will have to wait a little longer as the event will not be happening this year 2023.
Over the years, the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs ) have set a benchmark for the African fashion fraternity.
The Awards are known for their ability to recognise, honour, inspire and set trends in celebration of a global fashion agenda.
Since their commencement in 2013, the ASFAS brought together Africans on the entire continent and in the diaspora together in one evening of glitz and glamour, on Africa’s biggest red carpet.
However, the event management has taken the unprecedented decision not to hold its 8th edition which was expected this year December 2023.
According to a press statement issued by the ASFAS and their proprietor Ahumuza Brian, the strategic decision has been made to unveil an extraordinary display of African fashion brilliance, unlike anything seen before, in 2024.
While we regret having not to hold this year’s event, we believe it is a responsible choice to ensure that the ASFAS 2024 exceed all expectations in showcasing the brilliance of African fashion.
ASFAS extended their heartfelt gratitude to their sponsors, partners, and all stakeholders for their unwavering support throughout the years, mentioning that they look forward to coming together in December 2024 for the most remarkable fashion event of the year.

a prestigious event in the African fashion community has taken the unprecedented decision not to hold its 2023 event. This marks the first time it won’t be happening
since its 2013 debut. The strategic decision has been made to unveil an extraordinary display of African fashion brilliance, unlike anything seen before, in 2024.
The ASFAS has always been dedicated to celebrating change-makers, honouring creative excellence, and nurturing the next generation of fashion talents in Africa. While we regret having not to hold this year’s event, we believe it is a responsible choice to ensure that the ASFAS 2024 exceed all expectations in showcasing the brilliance of African fashion.
We fully understand the anticipation and excitement surrounding the ASFAS, and we want to assure our fashion community and supporters that this will only
serve to make ASFAS 2024 an even more spectacular and impactful event.
