Anselm son of a four-time presidential aspirant Dr. Kizza Besigye and Executive Director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Winnie Byanyima has graduated with an MA in Anthropology.
In 2021, Anselm Besigye graduated with a Bachelor’s in anthropology from Harvard University where he emerged as one of the best-performing students.
He did, however, continue his anthropology studies, and yesterday he graduated from the University of Chicago, marking the culmination of his education.
Anthropology studies majors in the study of human behaviour and the exploration of cultural and social themes within a society.
Anselm’s graduation was graced by his mother Winnie Byanyima, his girlfriend Liz, and other close family members.

After her son’s graduation, the mother, Winnie Byanyima, who couldn’t hold back her joy, poured her heart out on Twitter as she shared the son’s graduation photos.
