Azawi discloses the story behind her collaboration with Konshens. During an interview with Galaxy FM, Azawi shared that her initial foray into the music industry took place at Roast And Rhyme, where she performed for the first time.
Her impromptu freestyle of one of Konshens’ songs gained significant attention and went viral. Later on, she travelled to Kenya and had an interview at Trace, where she once again showcased her freestyle skills.
The presenter, Calvin, promised to ensure that the clip reached Konshens, and he fulfilled his promise.
Azawi further reveals that Konshens has close friends who work as journalists in Kenya, and one of them, named Jimany, sent her a conversation where Konshens inquired about her.
In the midst of all this, Azawi was also engaged in direct messaging with Konshens, which solidified her status as a long-time fan.
She expressed her initial intention to create a remix of her song “Ten Over Ten,” but Konshens suggested they collaborate on a fresh track instead.
