Firebase proprietor and National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has contributed UGX 10M towards the repatriation of Ugandan migrant workers stuck in Arab countries.
Almost a week ago, Bobi Wine announced plans to host a charity concert in Dubai, with proceeds benefiting Ugandans stranded in Arab countries.
However, the charity concert was dealt a heavy blow in the last hours, when it was called off by Dubai authorities for reasons best known to them.
On Thursday afternoon, Bobi based at the NUP headquarters in Kamwokya and launched a charity fund to bring his initiative to life.
Bobi Wine contributed UGX 10M towards the cause and urged Ugandans both within and outside the country to respond positively to the campaign.

The campaign is expected to last only one week, and any funds raised during that period will be used to repatriate Ugandans detained in Arab nations.
