Several Ugandan celebrities have embarked on mourning the late singer Evelyn Lagu’s death.
On Monday (18 September) social media was awash with the sad news of singer Evelyn Nakabira alias Evelyn Lagu’s passing.
Evelyn Lagu’s death news was confirmed through her Facebook account before it spread like wildfire all over social media.
The singer’s death comes in light of several years of battling kidney and heart complications, which saw her flown to Turkey to get a transplant.
However, due to her deteriorated health condition at that moment, she was advised not to do the procedure and she has since relied on dialysis until today when she breathed her last.
Several celebrities including Mesach Semakula, Eddy Kenzo, Don Zella, Catherine Kusasira, Bettina Namukasa, Vivian Tendo, Spice Diana, Rebecca Alice Jjingo, and Naila Ali among others have already taken to their social media accounts to express their condolences to the deceased’s family.

The late singer’s funeral arrangements are not yet revealed to the public, but we shall keep you posted as more details emerge.
