Singer Clever J real name Gerald Muwonge has acknowledged using witchcraft before making some of his blockbusters like “Manzi Wanani.”
Before losing his musical grip, Clever J blessed music enthusiasts with a number of hit songs like Ensi Ya Leeta, Manzi Wanani, Fanya Kazi and many others.
However, based on Clever J’s most recent revelation during an interview at Sanyuka TV, he attained his goal of making it to the music industry pinnacle after using witchcraft.
According to Clever J, he first visited several shrines before his songs from Manzi Wanani and Fanya Kazi, topped music charts and airwaves.
He adds that eventually stopped using witchcraft when the witch doctors demanded items he couldn’t afford at the moment.
Clever J recalled that the traditional healer had requested two cows from him despite the fact that he was still renting and had two months’ worth of back rent.

The musician continued by saying that he has since abstained from practising witchcraft and is now an ardent Christ follower.
