Dorothy Nabulime the mother who appeared in a viral video clip physically abusing her 2-year-old daughter has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.
On 3rd September, Nabulime a resident of Busula, in Katikamu Sub County, Luwero district was arrested following the viral video clip which portrayed her inflicting bodily harm on her own daughter.
She was later arraigned before court, where she pleaded guilty and attributed her brutal reaction to anger.
She further revealed that her daughter was a result of rape, and up to now she doesn’t know the whereabouts of the baby’s father.
Her confession, however, didn’t stop the Magistrate to remand her to prison until 13th/09/2022 for the final ruling.
Earlier today, Nabulime appeared before the Luwero Chief Magistrate’s court and was sent to jail for 18 months for torturing her two-year-old child.
The Magistrate revealed that Nabulime pleaded for leniency owing she is a victim of sexual abuse, but she has to be taken away from the public for her own safety and also to serve as an example to the rest.
