Dr. Hajat Kulthum Nabunya and husband Eng. Acram Gumisiriza have today held a colorful wedding ceremony.
The pair legalized their marriage at Old Kampala mosque, before their friends, relatives, and well-wishers.
Prior to the wedding, Hajat Kulthum was treated to a surprise bridal shower at the Pearl of Africa Hotel in Kampala graced by close friends, and family members.
In accordance with the Muslim custom, Eng. Acram Gumisiriza awarded Hajat Kulthum Nabunya the Mahr of a land title in Kyanja, and yet to be disclosed amount of money in South African currency.

Mahr in Muslim law is an amount paid to the wife at the time of marriage which can either be specified or unspecified.
