Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has successfully obtained a passport and visa for singer Daudi Mugema to receive specialized medical treatment abroad.
A few weeks ago, Mugema publicly sought assistance after battling cancer for several years. He attributed the cancer in his legs to his time spent in a police cell in Kireka.
In response to his plea, various individuals from the music industry and political sphere provided financial support. Among them, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago generously contributed to Mugema’s cause.
Furthermore, the Lord Mayor facilitated the necessary arrangements for Mugema to undergo specialized medical treatment in Istanbul, Turkey.
Today, Daudi Mugema and the Lord Mayor met with the Turkish Ambassador to Uganda, H.E Faith AK, at his office in Kololo to finalize the arrangements for the singer’s medical trip.

The Lord Mayor expressed his deep appreciation to his friend, H.E Fatih, for his efforts in expediting the process for Daudi Mugema’s transfer to Istanbul, Turkey for the treatment of his cancerous leg.
