Ugandan singer Fik Gaza, born Shafiq Jjingo, has today been granted Ugx 1M cash bail after spending nights in police cells over an alleged robbery.
On Thursday, last week, Fik Gaza and other key suspected criminals were arrested at his residence following the skyrocketing cases of robbery in Katwe.
The operation saw four suspects arrested, including Fik Gaza, Magoola Najibu, Mutuba David (alias Mavin Gaza), and Zziwa Charles (alias Mzungu).
Fik Gaza was arraigned before the Makindye court on charges of robbery, and he requested bail, which was granted to him.
The singer paraded his suaties, and his bail came with conditions, including paying Ugx 1m cash and suaties of noncash Ugx 10m.

The Gaza Empire boss will have to hand over his passport and will seek permission whenever he has travel plans.

The case has been adjourned until 12 May 2025 at 10 AM, and the singer is expected to respect the court’s decision.
