Frank Walusimbi Resigns From NTV After 15 Years

NTV news anchor Frank Walusimbi has today resigned from his duties at NTV Uganda after 15 years of working with the Serena-based station.

Frank Walusimbi commenced his duties at NTV on 25th December 2006 and today he has anchored his last news bulletin.

His rich Luganda vocabulary during his shows like “Tuwaye”, “Ebigambo Tebitta”, and NTV Akawungeezi, for the past 15 years have got news lovers glued to their TV sets.

His last news bulletin was made indelible by his workmates like Faridah Nakazibwe, Andrew Kyamagero, Sudhir Byaruhanga, and others who appreciated the work of his hands during his reign at the station before cutting the cake.

Walusimbi thanked the team he has worked with for the years he has been at NTV, for providing a conducive working atmosphere for him to execute his duties hustle-free.

He stressed that for the rest of the years, he is going to serve in a different capacity though he didn’t hint at his next projects.

Thank you for always tunning in to NTV Akawungeezi and for standing with me since 2006 when I anchored my first news bulletin. Today 28th April 2022, I am anchoring my last bulletin at NTV. People loved us in the news business and we have been a good inspiration.

Thank you my team for the support because you can’t work alone, it is always a team of almost 40 people. It is not easy to leave a place you’ve been this long, but if life prevails, I will come back and resume my duties, but for now, allow me to serve in a different capacity.
