Nalongo Dr. Stella Nyanzi is inconsolable after being conned while in Kenya on her poetry-affiliated duties.
A few weeks back, Dr. Stella Nyanzi travelled to Kenya where she joined fellow poets to exhibit their crafts.
However, she encountered certain difficulties, thus her trip to Kenya didn’t turn out as she had earlier hoped.
Through her socials, Stella Nyanzi revealed that her poetry road tour to Mombasa was dealt a heavy blow by a conman identified as David.
Stella stressed that she hired a silver grey Voxy with the license plate KDC 618J from David for three days to travel from Nairobi to Mombasa and back, at a cost of 19,600 KES.
To her surprise, upon reaching Makindu, the hired vehicle abruptly stopped functioning. They pushed it to the roadside and hired two local mechanics who revealed to them that the vehicle’s tracking device had locked it.
On informing David about what had happened, he refused to refund their money on grounds that he was going to send them a replacement car.
David later stormed Makindu, only to urge Stella and her company to remove their valuables from the car, before disabling the tracker’s lock and speeding off.
Stella called David’s number after nearly six hours of waiting on the dusty roadside of Makindu, only to discover that it was off.

Due to the unexpected event, Stella Nyanzi had to postpone her poetry readings in Mombasa for today and tomorrow while she decides what to do next.
