Irene Ntale shares her partner’s transition from friendzone to love, addresses pregnancy rumors

Songstress Irene Ntale has revealed that the reason why she kept her relationship with fiance Vincent Kalibbala for a long time was because she wanted to build their bond away from the public eye and scrutiny.

In November last year, Irene surprised her Snapchat followers after she posted a video of Kalibbala proposing to her at the Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa. This shocked many as she had never hinted at being in a serious relationship with anyone before.

During an exclusive sit-down interview with Ruth Kalibbala, the vocalist revealed that Vincent was not any random man in her life. They met way back in 2016 but stayed friends and lived separate lives, little did she know that he was her soulmate.

“I hid him away from the public; it is good to build your relationship in silence. I did not know by then that I had already met my husband but you know when you want to settle and start praying to God to reveal to you your husband. This whole time he was just there and we were living our different lives as friends,” Irene Ntale said, describing Vincent as an awesome person.

At 36 years old, Irene Ntale officially invited her man to her parents’ home in a colorful Kukyala ceremony open to only close friends and family.

She, however, says before the ceremony, she was never under any pressure from her parents to get married as she was still taking her time to choose what was best for her.

“Mummy has never put me under any pressure asking for a man but now, my husband is here and we are happy. I thank God for that. I couldn’t just take any man to them because I look at some of my exes and wonder if it was really me. I gave myself time as I prayed,” she said.

Irene Ntale’s milestone was met with significant excitement from her fans and fellow artists. Photos flooded online, prompting a section of users to assume that she was already pregnant during her Kukyala. Irene Ntale rubbished the rumors, linking the bulging tummy to bloating from dairy products.

She, however, did not rule out the possibility of getting pregnant as she was now a married woman and it was expected of her.
