Jamal Wasswa affirms his timeless hits keep him relevant in today’s music scene, quells faded status

Jamal Wasswa ‘Omusomesa’ has watered-down allegations suggesting that he is a faded artist, claiming that the bangers he released way back are still making him relevant in the industry.

Jamal was a hot item who dominated the airwaves in the 2000s and his songs significantly helped mend broken relationships.

He, however, vanished off the charts, and in one of his interviews was quoted blaming his career stagnation on bad management, which led to not earning enough despite releasing good music, hence taking a musical break.

With songs like Abakyala Bazira, Ononsonyiwa, and Omusomesa among others, Jamal believes he released timeless music that will never be erased by any new school artist no matter how long he takes without stepping into the studio.

“I have never faded because I have very good music. Music that is more sounding than the new artists. Some of us have timeless music. Some of us, even when we do not release new songs, you will still play our old songs. Most people come and trend for one month; they speak a lot because they need all the PR for their music to trend,” he said.

With most of the old-school stars bouncing back with concerts, Jamal says he has had plans to perform for his fans but is still securing a good sponsor for the event to avoid incurring too much costs.

“I’m taking a long time because I have not yet got any sponsor. I do not want to put something on myself without a good arrangement. You need a good and honest person behind it,” he said.
