Jose Chameleone real name Joseph Mayanja has sent a stern warning to people using his name and voice to obtain their selfish interests.
Fans who have the physical appearance of musicians like Jose Chameleone, David Lutalo, Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool, and many more have embarked on mimicking their voices and character for their personal interests.
In the course of this week, a voice recording surfaced on social media mimicking Jose Chameleone, while criticising diaspora promoters for travelling Ugandan musicians in economy class.
Upon crossing paths with the development, Chameleone was left with a sour taste in his mouth before warning the person behind it to stop the vice with immediate effect.
Chameleone stated that imitating him or any other musician is illegal since it damages the musicians’ reputations.
He mentioned having already spoken with the individual responsible for the popular voice recording and advising him against abusing his voice for personal benefit.

In response, the lad behind the audio recording, Champion Geniouslevy, apologised to Jose Chameleone and promised never to make the same error again.
