On 16th April 2023, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II flagged off the 10th edition of the annual Kabaka Birthday Run at Bulange, Mengo in Kampala.
Themed “The fight to end HIV/ AIDS by 2030”, this year’s edition saw about the 100,000 runners participate in the run.
Several dignitaries within and outside the Buganda Kingdom took part in the Airtel sponsored event.
Prior to the event, there were speculations among Ugandans that owing to the Kabaka’s prevailing health state, he would not take part in the event.
However, the Kabaka defied all odds, and today in the company of his wife Queen Slyvia Nagginda flagged off the run very strong and in good shape.
