Residents in Nalubugo have put a smile on ailing singer Evelyn Lagu’s face when they revealed plans of naming one of their roads after her.
In June this year, Evelyn Lagu revealed how she had relocated to Nalubugo after well-wishers built her a new home there.
Over the weekend, while hosting the Zubair Family team at her home, Evelyn Lagu revealed that ever since she relocated to Nalubugo, land has increased in value.
She credited the progress to her fame and the region’s infrastructure development since her relocation to the area.
Evelyn Lagu revealed that for the two months, she has spent in Nalubugo, eight plots of land have been sold off as people yearn to be part of her neighbourhood.

To return the favour, the locals intend to honour her enormous contribution to the music industry and their community by renaming one of the streets “Lagu Road.”
