Lord Mayor Eria Lukwago and Allan Ssewanyana have extended their support to the ailing singer Daudi Mugema.
Mugema recently made a plea for assistance after battling cancer for more than three years.
The singer, currently experiencing severe pain, reached out to well-wishers, including Bobi Wine, to help him access medication before cancer takes his life.
Mugema, who is undergoing treatment at home in Makindye, disclosed that he was initially required to pay hospital bills totalling Ugx 21M. With the help of well-wishers, he managed to raise Ugx 4M and still has a balance of Ugx 7M.
Yesterday, politicians Allan Ssewanyana and Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago responded positively to Mugema’s plea for help.
They provided financial assistance to aid him during this challenging period of illness.
Erias Lukwago and Allan Ssewanyana commended Mugema for his outstanding contributions in both the music and political arenas.
