Singer Martha Mukisa has issued an apology to her fans following an unforeseen circumstance where her shorts betrayed her and split on stage.
The embarrassing moment occurred last week midway through Martha Mukisa’s performance at David Lutalo’s concluded ‘Nalongo’ concert.
While speaking in an interview with Spark TV, Martha Mukisa refuted plotting the incident to pull a public stunt, pointing out that she is a very decent person who respects the morals and values of society.
The ‘Sango’ singer mentioned that her parents nurtured her as a person who knows her worth, and wouldn’t expose her body in the name of chasing clout.
The Black Magic Entertainment singer acknowledged that she has had numerous offers along her music journey to make public stunts, but she chose not to do so because she prefers to be recognised primarily for her music.
She maintained that the incident wasn’t deliberate and that she hadn’t realised what had happened on stage until she received a video from a close colleague.
Martha went on to plead with whoever was offended by her act not to lose hope in her, but rather forgive, and move on, before promising to make amends where need be.
