Due to the Ebola outbreak in Mubende District, singer David Lutalo’s “Kabisi Kandagala” extra concert hangs in balance.
On 23 September, David Lutalo held his sold-out concert at Hotel Africa and is optimistic to hold his extra concerts in different parts of the country.
However, partiers in Mubende may not taste the Kabisi ka Kandagala as earlier anticipated following the skyrocketing numbers of infected patients by the Ebola virus.
On Tuesday this week, the Ministry of Health confirmed the outbreak of Ebola in Mubende, following the death of a 24-year-old male and others bedridden.
The Ministry has since put up measures to contain the deadly disease from spreading to other parts of the country.
The suspension of public gatherings at weddings, funerals, pubs, and other hangout locations in the district are some of the measures that have been implemented to curb the spread of Ebola.

While addressing the media, Mubende Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Ms. Rosemary Byabashaija revealed that unless the situation gets back to normal, David Lutalo’s extra concert may not happen.
She however noted that for the past days, there has been a slight drop in the number of Ebola patients registered, and this will be a major determinant in deciding if Lutalo will hold a concert in Mubende or not.
