City Pastor Martin Ssempa has revealed that his life is in danger following the assailants’ unsuccessful attempts to terminate his life.
Taking to his X/Twitter account, Pastor Martin Ssempa revealed that over the weekend on Saturday, his neighbors in Jungo Kasanje alerted him about a group of three men on a boda boda who had been patrolling his home.
He noted that one of the men had a gun, and they visibly seemed to be on an assassination mission.
Pastor Martin Ssempa added that in an effort to actualize their mission, these men established roadblocks, attempted to break into his farm, and received numerous calls from strangers who seemed to be trying to trace his location.
To safeguard his precious life, Pastor Martin Ssempa reacted by switching off his phone before entering his banker for a few days.
The pastor blames the assassination attempts on the LGBTQ community, claiming their anger stems from defending the Uganda anti-sodomy law.
Last week I got served with a large volume of files from LGBTQ groups that want to annul Uganda anti sodomy law. I don’t know if it’s connected.
Pastor Ssempa urged well-wishers to keep him in their prayers and notify the Police which he said he couldn’t access.

Since Saturday night last week, My neighbors in Jungo Kasanje are telling me that a group of three men on boda boda are cavansing my home neighborhood after midnight apparently looking for me. One has gun and they seem to be on an assassination mission. Roadblocks, Attempted break in to my farm, etc. I also got tired of calls of strangers who seem to be trying to track my location. So I have switched off my phones and gone into my bunker for a few days. I really dont know why they want to kill me or bomb me. Is it because of my defense of Ugandas anti sodomy law? Last week I got served with a large volume of files from the LGBTQ groups which want to annul Uganda anti sodomy law. I dont know if its connected. Please Keep me in your prayers and someone tell the @PoliceUg @cdfupdf who I can’t reach now.
