Renowned traffic officer Abdallah Tusiime has been recognized by the Uganda Police, thanks for his dedication to his work.
Abdallah Tusiime became a social media sensation following videos of him executing his duties despite the heavy downpour.
The officer has severally been seen diligently directing traffic along the Mawanda Road-John Babiiha Road intersection.
Abdallah Tusiime’s dedication was not only noticed by netizens but also by his bosses, who recognized him earlier today.
In a press statement issued by the police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke, he delivered the Inspector General of Police’s message of appreciation for Tusiime’s patriotic spirit revealing that his positive attitude will be recognized and rewarded.
Furthermore, the Minister of Science and Innovation, Dr. Monica Musenero, accompanied by clerics from the Inter-religious Council of Uganda (IRCU), led by Bishop Joshua Lwere, visited Abdallah Tusiime.
The bishop noted among the three Abdallah’s sons, the IRCU is willing to sponsor one boy’s education up to university.

In his speech, Abdallah thanked the Uganda police for recruiting him, saying it had been his dream since childhood to serve Uganda before expressing his sincere gratitude to everyone who enabled him to execute his duties well.
