In connection with the murder of the late Isma Olaxes, real name Ibrahim Lubega Tusubira, Uganda Police has so far detained three individuals.
Isma Olaxess was shot and killed near his home in Kyanja on May 7, 2023, and was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Nkokonjeru in Mukono district.
Isma’s killers, according to police reports, were armed with a pistol, which they used to shoot at his van, under registration licence plate UBK 213 D.
The bullets rendered Isma lifeless on spot, while his driver known as Wasswa Mathias fortunately escaped.
Police reveals that in an effort to trail the culprits with the help of a K9 dog, one of their gloves was discovered, before losing track on the main road.
In connection with the murder of Isma, two people were immediately detained, and they are currently being questioned in an effort to identify the perpetrators.

Wasswa Mathias, who survived the shooting, is also in police protective custody while investigations into the matter gets underway.
Police also says that its cyber unit is looking into the call that Isma got just before he died, near Munyonyo roundabout.
