Socialite Zari Hassan’s second-born son, Raphael Tlale has opened up on the relationship he has with his mother’s husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya.
During an interview, the 20-year-old revealed that they kept a cordial relationship, describing Shakib as a chill and cool person. Raphael noted that when he comes around to the house, they interact normally but do not have deep conversations to delve into.
“I would say he is a cool guy and when he comes to the house, he will just chill with my mum then maybe take the kids (Tiffah and Nillan). But there is nothing much for us to talk about. We are just like ‘I know you are here’ and hello. He is a chill guy and it is a cool relationship but there is nothing much to it really; We just keep it calm and cordial” Raphael said.
Zari and Shakib Cham got married officially in 2023 in a private wedding ceremony graced by close friends, family, and Netflix’s Young, Famous, and African cast.
Before meeting Shakib, Zari had come out of a four-year relationship with Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz siring two children; Nillan and Tiffah.

Although they had plans of getting married, the relationship soared and Raphael notes that he no longer has a connection with the Bongo Flava artist ever since he separated from his mother.

“No, we do not talk unless he comes by the house. We do not really talk and we do not have a relationship,” he said.
