Firebase singer Zex Bilangilangi snubbed an event compelling revellers to destroy property in Easter Uganda.
According to an upcoming events promoter Kelly, he booked Zex Bilangilangi to perform at his show in Bugungu – Adube at a fee of UGX 1.5M.
The promoter adds that he gave Zex Ugx 1M upfront as a deposit, and the balance was to be covered after the performance.
On the day of the event, Zex arrived late and upon realizing that the show had sold out, he went contrary to their initial agreement by demanding Ugx 500k to make Ugx 2m.
After giving in to Zex’s demands for an additional 500k Ugx, Kelly claims he left to get some cash, but when he came back, the singer was nowhere to be seen.
Upon revellers learning that Zex was a no-show at the event, they resorted to destroying property, including the music system, and plastic chairs.
Kelly notes that he has been trying to contact Zex but all his known phones were phones. He further expressed his disappointment with the singer, for tainting his reputation, since locals think he connived with the singer to robe them.
Kelly further disclosed that he has already reported the incident to the police and that an investigation has already been opened.
