Rickman Manrick Clarifies Why He Deleted Cinderella Song Moments After its Publication

Singer Rickman Manrick real Derrick Ddungu has clarified why he was compelled to delete the Cinderella song moments after its publication on YouTube.

On Friday this week, Rickman Manrick published the long-anticipated Cinderella video, which features his girlfriend Sheilah Gahumba as a video vixen.

Before the video could even settle on Youtube, Rickman and Ankown reached a conclusion that the video should be pulled down, a decision Sheilah deemed ‘clumsy’ through her Snapchat account.

In an official statement, Rickam attributed the development to the Cinderella video director using a demo track, and this all was realized after the song had been published on Youtube.

“Me as an artist this was a very hard and hurtful decision to make because the fomo around the video was too much and views gained before taken down were very good and the algorithm that was built around the video was tremendous.” partly reads rickman’s statement

The singer added that as creatives, it hurts to watch a beautiful and expensive video have a demo track as sound so they had to take it down for the sake of the art which is to last forever.

Rickman went on to apologize to everyone that was affected by their decision and promised to be more vigilant and alert next time to avoid such incidents again.

He maintained that the song will be republished on YouTube today at 6 PM, and urged for the same love that was poured into the video at its initial upload.

“8 April 2023 at 07:12
To everyone that has been affected by the deletion of the Cinderella video, we are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused and we assure you that we are working around the clock to ensure that the video is up again by today 6pm.

Me as an artist this was a very hard and hurtful decision to make because the fomo around the video was too much and views gained before taken down were very good and the algorithm that was built around the video was tremendous.

The main reason the video was taken down is because the producer that made Cinderella after listening to it noticed that the sound was bad and we came to realize that it was in fact a demo that was on the official video.

As creatives, it hurts to watch a beautiful and expensive video have a demo track as sound so we had to take it down for the sake of the art which is to last forever. For everyone that has been affected we deeply apologize for the disappointment. We promise to be more vigilant and alert next time to avoid such incidents again.

I pray that the same love that was poured into the video at its first upload multiplies more and more when the video is uploaded again at 6pm. Thank you for your support.
Rickman Manrick”

However, netizens have insisted that this is a stunt plotted by the singer, to create awareness about the song in an effort to bag more views on the next publication.

Over to you, what do you think.
