Celebrated man of God Pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha was dragged to court over child neglect. The complainant is Sarah Nakuye who pins the Empowerment Christian Centre Church International senior pastor for impregnating her and neglecting the outcomes.
Nakuye says they received their son 11 years back, but now he is in primary Six and Pastor Mondo has been playing hide and seek towards fulfilling his role as a father.
She reveals that she has tried her level best to have a round table discussion regarding their son, but Mondo has always turned a deaf ear. She says her last option was to go public after three failed attempts to see Mondo raise child support funds.
Nakuye further explains that the last time she saw Mondo was at the police station where he pledged to raise UGX300,000 every month. She adds that Mondo only raised this money for two months, and acted contrary to their agreement now three years.
She says when she tried to reach out to Mondo who is currently outside the country, he told her to do whatever she wants, and her only option was to publicize the matter in order to get fairness. She stresses that she has struggled enough to make ends meet for her son, now it’s high time Pastor Mondo steps up and raises fees for his son.
She urged authorities to arrest the city pastor, calling upon Deputy Speaker Anita Among and Prime Minister Hon. Robbina Nabanjja to intervene in the matter for her son to make it back to school.
