Socialite Sheilah Gashumba is unhappy with the Uganda Ministry of Sports for failing to pay the She Cranes Coach Fred Mugerwa.
Recently the Uganda National Netball Team (She Cranes) qualified and took part in the 2023 Netball World Cup in South Africa only to finish fifth.
The development, on the other hand, saw Uganda ranked Number One in Africa as far as the Netball sport is concerned.
However, during the She Cranes dinner organised on Monday at Serena just as the team returned from South Africa, Fred Mugerwa threatened to put down his working tools citing non-payment.
Mugerwa revelation washed social media off its feet, with social public figures expressing their displeasure including Sheilah Gashumba.
Sheilah Gashumba lamented how depressing it is to be an athlete in Uganda and expressed her displeasure with the department’s concern about paying the coach before urging them to do better.

And the Uganda She Cranes Coaches aren’t getting paid a penny!! Imagine being ranked number 1 with no money!! Sad to be an athlete in Uganda!! Whoever handles that department must do better!!
